Daily Details

Day 1: Los Angeles to Twentynine Palms (206 Miles / 332 Kilometers)

San Gabriel Mountains

After heading east towards Angeles National Forest you will experience the amazing beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains while riding through its winding roads that rise up to 8000 ft (2438 m). Mt. Wilson offers fantastic views of the Los Angeles basin and on a clear day the beauty of Catalina Island rises over the Pacific. The changing altitudes and varying landscapes make this one of the most rewarding rides in California. After descending into the wide open plains of the Mojave desert you will reach the town of  Twentynine Palms where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2: Twentynine Palms to Los Angeles (248 Miles / 399 Kilometers)

Joshua Tree National Park

We recommend getting up early to experience the spectacular sunset at Joshua Tree National Park, where you will ride through amazing rock formations. A designated wilderness area, the park’s elevations range from 1,000 to 6,000 feet (305 to 1,829m), which provides perfect vistas of the endless horizon and the peaceful beauty of the Mojave Desert. After exiting Joshua Tree you will head west chasing the sun, taking the beautiful mountain roads through San Bernardino National Forest back to L.A.
