After leaving Las Vegas you will cross the Colorado River at the legendary Hoover Dam. Built over a period of five years during the Great Depression, the dam is truly a modern engineering marvel and an important symbol of the American West. After the Hoover Dam, the road opens up and you can enjoy the vast desert highways as you head south and enter Route 66 at Kingman. Route 66, also called “The Mother Road”, originally ran all the way from Chicago to Los Angeles, serving as a major path for generations of people who moved west in hopes of finding a better life. The old diners and deserted motels will remind you of the glory days of this American landmark. Your day will end in Williams.

Day 3: Williams to Kanab (261 Miles / 420 Kilometers)

The epic grandeur of Grand Canyon

The day will begin with an easy 60 mile ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon. Be prepared for one of the greatest sights man has ever seen. After taking in the amazing scenery, you will continue your ride along the South Rim for more spectacular views. As you head north you will cross the Colorado River at Marble Canyon via the infamous Navajo Bridge. After passing Vermilion Cliffs National Monument the little Western town of Kanab awaits you. Nicknamed “Little Hollywood”, Kanab has a history as a filming location for many famous Western movies and television series.

Day 4: Kanab to Las Vegas (208 Miles / 335 Kilometers)

Zion National Park

Soon after leaving Kanab you will reach Zion National Park. After admiring the beautiful rock formations you are in for an exciting set of hairpin switchbacks with phenomenal views back into the canyon and up to the pastel-colored sandstone of the surrounding peaks. If you have time for a little detour on your way back to Las Vegas, check out the Valley of Fire. The name of this spectacularly scenic state park is derived from its red sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes. These features, which are the centerpiece of the park’s attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun’s rays. After returning the motorcycle in Las Vegas, it’s your chance to go out and enjoy an unforgettable night in Sin City.

Day 5: Departure from Las Vegas

Old Vegas is alive

Say your goodbyes and head to the airport or show off your tan in some of Vegas’ clubs for a few more nights.
